Ceramic Coating

Ceramic coating is crucial for several manufacturers to protect outer surface from super-heating contact, liquid, or other substances. This coating is popular among car detailing to protect car paint and other outer surface that is attached on the car.

However, ceramic coating is actually applicable for widespread manufacturing process. This coating has endurance of temperature until 1300oC. For example, to avoid the metal is sticking while the liquid metal is poured to the dies, ceramic coating is applied in inner surface with the temperature more than 1000oC.

Ceramic coating also can be implemented in aluminum making by spraying ingot inner surface to avoid the ingot has impurities from inner surface.

Ceramic Coating for Casting

Ceramic coating nowadays is applied to several manufacturing processes. Those are:

  • Diecast (LPDC/Gravity)

Aluminum wheels, cylinder heads, frame and engine components for the automotive industry are cast inĀ permanent mold processing. If the melt is attached to the mold case, it leads the defected mold and affect the quality of the product. Ceramic coating is one-stop solution for avoiding defected product for diecast.

  • Cast houses

Ceramic coating can be applied to inner surface of cast house to prevent sticking melt to the surface, which increases purity and reduce cost of recycling the impure melts.

Ceramic Coating for Heat Management Systems

Ceramic coating also applies to heat management and flue gas system. Those are:

  • Boiler and Furnace

Dust, ashes, and other micro-particle substances are sticked to the tubes and furnace wall, which might creating sediment and reduce boiler and furnace performance. Ceramic coating prevents dust and other particles to adhere to the tubes and wall.

  • Heat exchanger, Automotive and Fluid Technology

Ceramic coating can be applied to heat management in heavy duty and automotive parts, such as heat exchanger, evaporator, and radiator to avoid excessive heat contact/radiation, which leads cavitation and heat loss, outside the heat management devices.
